A little about Charles
Councilman Charles Cunningham’s platform of his campaign for Humble City Council Place 2 focuses primarily on the issues affecting the residents of the city of Humble, he told the Lake Houston Observer today. He filed for the post with the city’s secretary at City Hall. Cunningham, who is the city’s representative to the Houston-Galveston Area Council which consists of 13 counties in the Gulf Coast area stated that he will continue to work with local, state, and federal agencies to address drainage and flooding in Humble, (such as Jordan’s Gully and Black’s Bayou) transportation, and economic development. Cunningham serves on the boards of the Humble Area Assistance Ministries, the Humble Museum Foundation Board and Northshire 3 HOA Board. He is the former board president of the Humble Independent School District.
Cunningham, a Distribution Account Consultant for CenterPoint Energy has a B.S.A. degree from Our Lady of the Lake University and is a United States Army veteran. His wife Stella is an educator at both the college and high school levels. They have four children and nine grandchildren. They are members of St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church in Humble. Councilman Charles Cunningham has lived in the city of Humble for 27 years and has served on the City Council since 2019.
